NAS TRANSITION ENGINEERING SERVICES | PROVIDING ALL CIVIL ENGINEERING SOLUTION
STORY OF TRANSITION ENGINEERING SERVICES
Transition Engineering Services, established in 2009 with the guidance of a Professor of BUET. Company named was Transition Tech Limited. Engr. A. K. Azad was the managing director of Transition Tech Limited during the period of 2009-2014. During this period Engr. A.K.Azad involved on various major consultancy projects & successfully completed with the guidance of BUET professor. Through continuous servicing of consultancy services transition tech ltd. faced a problem in geotechnical investigation by conventional method.
In Bangladesh, Geotechnical Investigation by conventional method SPT is usually performed by labors which has following limitations.
SPT boring team is not aware of the importance of height of fall. In most of the cases height of the fall is more than that specified in ASTM.
SPT spoon usually does not comply with ASTM. Most of the cases, the driving shoe of the SPT spoon is sharper than that specified in ASTM.
Undisturbed sampling by Shelby tubes is disturbed significantly because of the use of very low-quality Shelby tube samplers.
SPT N value is an indicator of shear strength of soil. Larger value of N means more shear strength of soil. Due to above mentioned limitations SPT N value we get is less than actual value. That means we are getting less strength of soil than it actually have. As a result foundation designs become expensive.
For considering the above mentioned limitations, Transition Tech Limited was providing the auto hammer for SPT N value in field. Auto hammer was manufactured as per specification of American Society for Testing Materials. Transition Tech Ltd. is collecting undisturbed soil sample by using ASTM standard Shelby tube.
Transition Tech Limited was manufactured ASTM Standard Shelby tube first time for regular soil test work in Bangladesh. Now Transition Soil Test & Survey are performing soil test work with quality control by using auto trip hammer, ASTM Standard SPT spoon, ASTM standard Shelby tube & necessary laboratory test by own laboratory according to BNBC-2020.
Government Announcement:

The government has made mandatory the use of blocks in public construction from this fiscal year as it moves to cut the reliance on bricks for building structures, walls and roads, an official document showed.
Under the plan, state-run agencies will use blocks, which will be made up of sand, cement fly ash or materials other than clay, to build and repair walls of buildings, surrounding walls, herringbone bond road and rural passages in place of bricks, which use valuable topsoil as raw material.
Agencies will have to use 10 percent blocks in the current fiscal year of 2019-20 and 20 percent the following year, according to a notification of the environment, forest and climate change ministry, issued on November 24.
“Fire-burnt bricks pollute air and the environment. It also affects agricultural lands. This is why we want to move to blocks from bricks,” said Mallick Anwar Hossain, additional director general of the Department of Environment.
We have decided to completely shift to blocks from fire bricks by 2025.
The ministry directed to fix the target of using 20 percent blocks in building and other constructions in fiscal 2020-21 and 30 percent the following year. It has set a target to use 60 percent blocks in 2022-2023 and 100 percent in 2024-2025, the year when the country is expected to phase out bricks.
NAS Transition Engineering Services are working since from 2014 to till now.
Due to above consideration we have developed a concrete industries named “NAS Concrete Industries” which produce concrete hollow block, different type of cement brick, unipaver, paving block, parking tiles, covering block for shifting as building materials from fire bricks.
It is one stop engineering services for your valuable civil engineering project. NAS Transition engineering services fulfilling commitments e.g. deadlines, deeds, promise with the best customer service and care, working with competency, efficiency and control the quality.
